Long time..

... no see. It's been busy here! We have a lot of guests at the moment and a few of them are swedish professional free ride skiers, http://www.sixmonths.se/! Happy times!

My shins has been a pain in the ass, sorry my choice of words.. Once you've had shin split you'll never really get rid of it, ask me, i know... When i ski moguls and hard packed snow a lot, which i was last week,  my shins get REALLY sore!!! I took the two past days off but couldn't stay away from the mountain anymore so i went up with a couple of friends from the avalanche course. It was snowing all day yesterday, all night and was still snowing this morning so i figured i would be fine. As long as it's powder my shins are fine, i know, picky shins eh?!

I took the first chair up, and my first run was just AMAZING!!! Faceshots and powder up to my knees!!

Can't even put into words how happy days like that make me! Life's good, life's good...

New years eve.

The last couple of days has been great, i've had so much fun!!

Yesterday i met up with Jen, Luke and Scott early up at the mountain and skied till about 1 ish, went back home and prepared myself for the bar-shift.

After their dinner they all came up to the lodge and joined me while i was working. After a couple of hours with drinks we went down to the Pub to celebrate the new year.

Today we had a looong lunch at a mexican restaurant, amazing food! All of us were pretty tired from yesterdays it was a lot of giggling going on. Haven't been laughing that much in a long time!!!

Then we said good bye, hopefully i'll see them again anytime soon!!

Sad start of the new year.

I've got an email yesterday saying that one of Peak Performance ambassadors, Duncan Mackenzie, got caught in an avalanche two days ago and sadly passed away. My thoughts are with his loved ones and i will always remember him as the happy and smiling guy he was!!

I wish for a year filled of happiness, a lot of skiing and that i get to stay healthy and get to spend a lot of time with my family and friends!

A perfect day!

I was on the morning-shift today, which means that i was making breakfast for all the guests. After breakfast i went up on the mountain and met up with Jen, Luke and Scott. The weather turned out to be stunning and i've had such a great day!! All of them came up to the lodge for drinks by the fire after skiing and then we were heading out for dinner. So much fun to see them again but like we all said, so weird that we're meeting up in Japan!!!

Off to the tops of the mountain again tomorrow morning and then all of us are bringing the new year in at the lodge ( while i'm working and serving everyone drinks...) Happy times, happy life!!

First swede i've met in Japan...

The new snowstorm has arrived!!! It's been snowing since noon, happy times! And tonight Jen and Luke arrives to Hakuba, two friends that i met through Watson who i worked with in Whistler and visited in Scotland a couple of months ago. I first met them in Scotland when i was there for a visit, at the same time as i was there both of them got a job in Tokyo so i met them again while i was in Tokyo and now they are coming up here. Feels like we're living in a pretty small world.. However, i'm probably going skiing with them tomorrow, lots of fun!!

And guess what, we've got a swedish guest today!! The first swede i've met so far in Japan, feels so weird to be able to talk swedish face-to-face. I felt like i was speaking my second language even though it's my first.. Weird feeling!!
