There's a lot coming up..

.. a lot to get excited about! It's Wednesday, the 9th of November, today which means that it's three days left till i'm going to Grebbestad on the West coast of Sweden for a lobster weekend, eight days till i'm going to Gothenburg for a long weekend to see Sofia, Camilla, Rebecka and Karin AND... sixteen days left till i'm going to JAPAN!! So excited!

Gothenburg has to watch out when these four ( except Jeff)...

... and this beautiful lady are getting together again!!

I got a new mac book today, i'm already loving it! Don't understand how i've survived all these years.. lol

There's more to explore,

We no speak americano.

I just called a hotel in Tokyo to make a reservation for a few days when i arrive, i told him what dates i would like to make a reservation for and after i've been talking for like two minutes, apparently to myself.., he says "I don't speak english, look internet". I guess i have to learn way more japanese AND make a reservation over internet..

Snow please.

Just talked to Jam on skype, and she showed me Whistler covered in snow through her window... Do i have to tell you that it made me jealous?!

Last year, waiting at our bus stop after the first snowfall for the season.

A safe city but way too busy residents?!

I was reading Insight City Guide Tokyo earlier, and found this;
"Tokyo is one of the few cities in the world where a salaried worker can pass out drunk on the street and wake up to find his wallet intact. Temples and shrines stay open day and night without incident or loss. The only places graffiti tends to be seen is where young Westerners hang out".

I also read this.. "It has been observed that, apart from family and close friends, most Tokyoites are not concerned about the rest of the humanity. Overcrowding in the city has tested Japan's pride in a cultural homogeny that includes consideration for others, making many Tokyoites appear self-centred on occasion".

So.. The conclusion of that would be that i'll be safe out on the streets 24/7 as long as i don't hang out with Westerners ( i gotta watch out for myself..) but will feel very lonley since no one will care about me, or? Luckily i'm just spending a few days in Tokyo..haha

My grandmother met a woman from Tokyo when she was studying english abroad so i've been introduced to her over email. Hopefully she have time to see me one of the days i'm in Tokyo, would be even better to see the city from a real Tokyoites eyes.

Just my luck.

What makes you feel like the happiest human being on earth?
When i was driving home earlier today they started to discuss this topic on the radio which maked me think of what really makes me happy. Travels in general but especially when i'm on an airport, weird eh?! But i think it's just because i know that i'm going somewhere and you're surrounded by lots of other people who's on the move as well. I also feel happy when i'm surrounded by people i love, now you're probably thinking "What a cliché, come up with something new eh..." but that's one of the most important things in my life. AND, of course.. when i'm on my skis, especially after a hike to a spot where you know that you're going to ski knee deep, powdery, untracked snow. That's among the best feeling i know.

Time is FLYING by.

Gosh! I just realized that it's the 1st of November today, what happend to October?

I'm not bored, just hungry for something new.

Even though i've been working heaps lately and haven't been up to that many exciting things i'm not bored bored, you know bored as in bored, videlicet superduper bored. Just a little bit bored. Okay, it was not that long ago i went to Scotland but i mean, that was three weeks ago so it's time to do something now.. Well, i'm off for three days now, or i took three days off just because i felt like i had been working too much. hah I'm not going away for a big adventure though, i got some things i need to do before i leave to Japan. Things that you don't have time to do when you're working. Like getting a new passport, a new international drivers license, insurance.. you know, boring stuff. BUT, to appreciate the fun things in life you gotta do the boring things sometimes, just to be aware about what's fun and what's boring. And as long as you know that it's not for forever, it's not the end of the world. So.. i guess i should stop feel sorry for myself...

The next weekend i'm going away to the west coast to try to catch some lobster. The weekend after that, which is my last weekend before i leave, i'm going to Gothenburg to see Sofia, Karin, Rebecka and Camilla ( who's coming all the way from Östersund in the north part of Sweden, almost 12 hours on the train) which i'm REALLY lookimng forward to!! I haven't seen Camilla since i went to Mexico end of April.. And i don't see the other girls that often as i would like to either so that's going to be AWESOME!!!! I always have such good time with them!

Tjingeling!
