Sunny side up!

Watch this one...

The trailer of the new free radical movie Sunny side up! I would have loved to go to the premiere that took place in Gothenburg a couple of days ago.

I got a new ski outfit today, i'll show you later on. I will DEFINITELY be seen on the mountain...

Dreams..

I had an amazing dream last night, it was the opening day of Whistler mountain and obviously a lot of untoched powder.. I took my sister up on Peak express and down Whistler bowl. However, the funny thing was that she fell in the deep snow and was screaming like she a pig, so i took my skis off and RAN 300 meters steep uphill. If i'm that fit when the season starts hiking is going to be easy this year, very easy. Well, the dream was perhaps not that amazing after all but the feeling of skiing powder again was definitely more than amazing!!

Christmas day 2010, we got 70 cm of new snow over night..
Here's Karin, feeling quite comfy in the deep snowpack.. That's those days we're waiting for all summer long, they make up for all the work you've done during the year, for sure!

Cheer up...

I've spent 14 hours working today and i'm missing out of the skimovie premiere "Sunny side up" in Gothenburg.. Hell yeah, life's fantastic! I'm off to bed, gotta get ready for a new day at work.

I would rather be here, on top of 7th Heaven with a bluebird sky.

...

How good is this?

Time is flying by!

Today, one year ago, Rebecka and i sat on the plane on our way back to one of my absolute favourite countries in the world, Canada. I wasn't nervous at all, just satisfied by the thought that i was close to be back "home". But i knew already when i left Canada in June a couple of months before that i was going to be back! Where ever i live, Canada is always going to feel a bit like home. I have so many beautiful memories and have been through so many amazing things in that country that it feels just like home!

January 2010

January 2011

Sometimes i miss those days, or i miss those days quite often to be honest.. Miss all my friends that i got to know and spent almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with. I even miss sitting in the cold on the bus stop waiting for bus number 4, getting groceries at Nesters in my longjohns or walking through the village in my ski boots.. Crazy eh?!

But nothing lasts forever. And all my friends is just a flight ( or two...) away and i'm going to get a lot of walk abouts in my ski boots this winter as well. On to the next adventure!!

I've been reading another chapter in my book...

... the book that never ends about the wonderful world we live in. I think that the world is a book. To be able to learn and experience new things and places in life you need to continue reading chapter after chapter with curiosity. Cause every chapter is a new amazing adventure to experience. If you stop being curious about the next chapter in that book, you're not living your life to the fullest and you'll be missing out of so many breathtaking moments.

However, it's been great over in Scotland, my first visit but definitely not the last! Spent two days with Watsons friends Luke and Jen ( who by the way got a job in Tokyo a couple of days ago, how crazy is that? We're flying over the same week!!!) in Edinburgh and the last two in Glasgow. Edinburgh was such nice city with it's all old buildings.

On Saturday afternoon i experienced my very first Soccer Saturday by betting six games and follow the results on tv. I was so excited when my cupon said that the money i could win was all together 844 pounds!! But unfortunately my thoughts of what teams was going to win didn't really work out to be that great...

Sunday was all about eating, all day long.. We went to Watsons aunts farm and had lunch i her restaurant. Believe it or not, but i tried both haggis and black pudding. Might not be my cup of tea really, but if you know what haggis contains you might not even wanna have a taste of it... The dessert was A M A Z I N G though!! At last his mum made an delicious Sunday dinner. haven't been that full in a loooong time!!

Ten out of ten points for an awesome weekend, thanks Watson, Jen and Luke!!!

Back on track or something like that. Got back from Scotland pretty late last night. My dad, who also is a bit of my private driver to and from the airport, came to pick me up as usual. Anytime, anywhere and he'll be there pick me up... Ain't i'm lucky?! hah

There's MORE to explore, ( ..and don't forget to read that book i was talking about.. It's never to late!)

Flying over to the land of...

... Scots! Forgot to say that i pretty spontaneously booked a flight to Scotland yesterday and i'm flying over to Edinburgh on Thursday to see my friend Watson that i worked with in Whistler last season.

Yes, i'm a bit bored of being home at the moment.. Not that i don't like my family and the few friends that's still left in my hometown but i pretty much just work, go to the gym and that's it during the weekdays. I guess it's okay for a short period though when you know that you're going away in a month. Japan... seven weeks to go! I can't wait for my next BIG adventure. First out, a long-week-end in SCOTLAND!

Highlight moments.

What a great weekend, and i just realized that Uppsala must be one of Swedens most beautiful cities!! I'm in love. Gosh, i'm gonna start study there next fall, that's for sure! I just have to find something that suits me to study.. But that's just a bugger..!

We've just been hanging around, and mostly just enjoyed each others company! Truly the best company you can have, it doesn't really matter what we're up to, we always make something good out of it. Happy times!

That's luxury at it's best, to spend a couple of days with people you love and miss in your daily life. I'm greatful and this weekend gonna be amazing.

New skiboots!

Okay, so i'm getting new skiboots since my old ones are way too old and pretty damaged... I'm choosing between these two, the brown pair is a bit stiffer while the white ones are a bit softer. Other than that they fit quite the same way. However not that much of a difference.
I've been walking around in the livingroom, no i'm not joking, with one of each pair. But i can't decide which pair to get! This is what they look like...
