Back country Obinata.

I've had such a good day! I met up with Andre and Bobby 8.30 this morning by the river between Happo one ski resort and Iwatake and from there we started hiking up and along the ridge at Obinata. It was a hard hike today, my "groin-muscles" ( don't even know if that's an existing english word..) kind of locked themselves and it was SO painful to skin uphill. But the run down was amazing! The terrain up there was magical, it looked like a fairytale!!

Before we went down again we had lunch in a very nice spot and then we were digging a snow pit just to see the different layers.. You may wonder why you have to dig in the snow, and the reason for that is to see what the different layers looks like. If there's any weak layers, rain crust etc.. Just to make sure that it's not an avalanche risk at the spot you're going to ski down. Since it's out of the ski resorts it's up to you to make sure that everything is safe..
