Every powder day is a good day, but some days are more awesome then other..!

Could have been skiing forever at Cortina today, epic day!!! We went to Cortina, a ski resort about half an hour away, known for all the snow it gets and the amazing tree runs. Even though it's just half an hour away they get more snow then Happo, the resort i live at because it's closer to the sea.. You can actually see the sea from the top of the resort, pretty cool eh?! Anyways, the top lifts has been closed the last couple of days due to high avalanche risk and it's been snowing non-stop which means a LOT of untracked powder. Can't put words for how good the skiing was... When you get skiing like this the whole world stops, nothing else than the powder turns matter anymore. It's just you, your skis and the powder, and the rest of your friend.. I sound like a freak, but that's just how it is and i don't know if i could live a life without skiing! It's not just the skiing part i love, i enjoy being outside in the cold on the top of a mountain with my friends. Skiing is not just skiing, it's so much more than that!

A man i went up with in the chairlift. Evreyone was genki today, and of course my new-found-chairlift-friend..

Here's Cortinas condition report of the day...
"Hopefully you haven't packed up the fat skis yet, because today felt just like a classic January Cortina Day. With 50 cm new snow in the past 24hrs, face shots were plentiful this morning on north facing slopes. The sun out until about noon, making for great photos, but rapidly warming snow. Ski patrol did an excellent job getting all the terrain open today, as the avalanche hazard was high, and windslabs pulling out on steeper slopes. It may be March, but it is still powder season in Hakuba. Winter's not over until the fat lady sings (and there are no fat girls in Japan)."

Thumbs up!

EXPERT ONRY EVERYONE!

Backside of Cortina, plenty of faceshots and untracked snow!

Thanks Andre, Matt, Jesse and Linus for an absolutely awesome day, best day of the season!!! Don't know how many times i've said that.. Every powder day turns out to be the best of the season, or my life.. Love skiing!
